Spanish Society of Neurology

As 29 October is World Stroke Day, we in Madrid will be holding our traditional ceremony to award the SEN Stroke Prizes, which the Spanish Society of Neurology’s Study Group for Cerebrovascular Diseases has been promoting for more than a decade. This event, which begins at 10.30 at the Pagoda (Faculty of Medicine, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid), will be attended by numerous public figures, authorities, and representatives of patient associations from all across Spain. These prizes recognise the different people in the institutional, political, social, and scientific spheres whose efforts have contributed to better stroke awareness and prevention in Spain. In addition, for the second year in a row, we have organised the largest national network of information campaigns and screening tests for stroke prevention, with 44 participating hospitals that represent all regions of the country. You can view the list of hospitals in each autonomous community at, as well as the dates and times they will be presenting their activities.
