The Mongolian Stroke Association had elaborated the action plan for celebrating the WORLD STROKE DAY-2014 in the beginning of year.
In April.
• We have organized the important International conference, involving 500 doctors.
• We have prepared the 4 minutes stork/shooting under the topic “Habituation of healthy lifestyle” on the prevention and risk factors of a stroke and exhibited it through 8 TV channels and during the 6 training seminars and distributed the printed copies to family doctors.
In May, we have organized the local seminars on the topic of “Rehabilitation of a Stroke” for family and ambulance doctors , involving 220 doctors.
In June, we have organized the local seminars on the topic of “Early stage diagnosis of a stroke by using the CT and MRI” for family and ambulance doctors , involving 240 doctors.
In August, we have organized the International conferenceon the topic of “Issues around the emergency assistance in the case of a stroke” forneurologists , where participated the doctors from Germany and presented lectures.
In October:
• Organizedthe training seminars on the topic of “Pending issues in regard to the Stroke”, involving 220 doctors.
• Organized the training discussion among 600 employees on the topic of “I am a woman, we are affected more by stoke”;
• Prepared the 3 minutes TV stork/shooting under the topic “5 ways of easy identification of a stroke” and broadcasted it through TV channels;
• Prepared the 5000 copies of a brochure manuals on the topic of “I am a woman, we are affected more by stoke” and distributed to 5000 people;
• Have translated into Mongolian the different brochures, manuals and other materials issued by the world campaign against stroke, distributed to city’s and provincial hospitals and coordinated/concerted the countrywide celebration of a Stroke day 2014;
• On October the 29th, have organized the countrywide celebration of a Stroke day 2014 through 11 bigger city’s and provincial hospitals, made numerous interviews and press conferences;

Conclusion:

The Mongolian Stroke Association , in accordance with annual action plan elaborated for celebrating the WORLD STROKE DAY-2014 have prepared and organized many different events and organized on October 29th the Stroke day, involving the around 1575000 people, 11 bigger hospitals and numerous smaller hospitals. There have also actively participated in this event the other professional associations and societies, MoH, WHO, Mongolian Women’s Association, Association of Mongolian Female Scientists and others.
As the result, the knowledge among Mongolian population about stroke is being improved year by year and increasing is an attention paid to the issue of a stroke from the side of public and Government organizations.
