A supportive gathering for stroke survivors and their family members focusing on prevention of stroke recurrence will be held in Sapporo, Japan on the 29th of October, local time, as an event of World Stroke Day.

The aim of the gathering is to have a great time leaning about stroke recurrence, to share experiences of stroke survivors and family members, and to expand a wave of exchange for encouraging each other.

Programs:
1) Academic lectures on prevention of recurrence of cerebral infarction by stroke specialists

2) Presentations by stroke survivor groups

3) Talk show by Mr. Hiromitsu Kadota, an ex-professional baseball player, who has had a stroke

4) Peer counseling by stroke survivors and family members with medical doctors
