The Finnish Stroke and Dysphasia Association organized the Stroke Congress in Helsinki on 13th and 14th of October for doctors, nurses, therapist and other professionals in health care. There were about 250 participants. There were also exhibitors giving information about services that focus on helping stroke survivors.

There were a 112 campaign (FAST campaign) during week 42 in Yle - the Finnish Broadcasting Company.

We have distributed a press release to Finnish media about the “One in Six” campaign.

Our Association will also be an exhibitor in Women’s Skills 2010 Fair from 29th to 31st October in the Turku Fair and Congress Centre. There will be about 15,000 participants.

The Finnish Stroke Association will be promoting World Stroke Day with an editorial article in the issue 4/2010 of our magazine AVH, where we are writing about international affairs in stroke (WSO, ESO, SAFE) and also about "1 in 6" message of World Stroke Day. The magazine is read by 10,000 stroke survivors, their families, carers, friends and health professionals across Finland.
