Brazil-image2The World Stroke Day 2015 in Brazil has been coordinated by Sheila Martins and organized by the Brazilian Stroke Society, Brazilian Academy of Neurology, Brazilian Stroke Network, Brazilian Stroke Association and Ministry of Health of Brazil. The 1 week campaign (October 24 to November 01) will bring together health professionals, students, health authorities, stroke support organizations, journalists, advertising and other professionals with actions in 75 Brazilian cities, to aware the population about stroke, the leading cause of disability in Brazil. In the whole country we will use standard T-shirts, stroke solidarity String and banners.
We lauch the World syroke proclamation and launch the "Stroke Brazil App", an applicative to iphone and android with stroke signs and the possibility to directly call to SAMU or family or taxi. The app has the possibility to localize the nearest Stroke center.Brazil-image3

Did you know that 1 out of every 6 people worldwide will have a stroke? And that approximately 70% of them do not properly recognize the stroke? And you? Do you know the signs of stroke?
To help you, the LOVE LIFE CARE Association - AAVC is launching the Challenge Stroke At The Palm of Our Hand. The challenge is part of the Campaign AAVC for the World Stroke Day 2015, the 29th of October.
The systematic is this: you record a video marking at the palm of your hand the FAST signal, that remind us how to recognize a stroke. Then shere the video on social networks and challenge three friends to participate as well and helps to disseminate information that can save a life anytime and anywhere.
The stroke signs are: FACE drooping, ARM weakness, SPEECH difficulty and TIME. Act FAST!
