Bhutan 2010

October 29
Thimphu, BHUTAN
For the first time in Bhutan, I, as the sole neurosurgeon (no other neurologist) in the country, plan to observe World Stroke Day on 29 October by:

  1. creating awareness about the stroke theme "1in 6"
  2. educating health personnel and the public on stroke risk factors
  3. volunteering to check participants' blood pressure, weight, height and calculate their BMI
  4. displaying some stroke advocacy posters
  5. arranging interaction between stroke patients and the general public
  6. asking everyone to join hands in sharing the message to others to live a healthy life
