In line with this year’s World Stroke campaign slogan, Because I care, the Argentine Brain Attack Association and FENERI Foundation sponsored by the Clinica la Sagrada Familia and the local city government, present, ¨The Giant Brain: a journey inside to know and care" which aims to encourage further knowledge on Stroke facts and to aware community in general on Stroke Warning Signs and what to do upon this medical emergency. Stroke is a leading cause of both death and disability worldwide, as well as in Latin America and presumably in Argentina. Its early recognition and rapid decision crucially affects the consequences and survival of the person who is suffering. This affects not only the person but also their family, their emotions and even their employment, social and cultural environment. For this reason, Dr. Pedro Lylyk, President of the Argentine Brain Attack Association and FENERI has conceived this audiovisual megaevent to be held on October 29th, from 08.00 to 20.00 at one of the cities most symbolic and central points, El Obelisco, at the intersection of the cities most famous avenues, 9th of July Avenue and Corrientes, the heart of Buenos Aires City. A strategic point to convoke the attendance of thousands to visit the Giant Brain where the community can experience, through a didactic audiovisual show inside the brain, the brains anatomy and its functions, how to recognize the warning signals and recommended actions to prevent this disease. In addition, the exhibition will include health posts for attendees to control their blood pressure, carotid artery screening, teach how to take ones own pulse, as well as lectures provided by medical specialists with extensive experience in the specialty . We invite everyone to support this initiative: NO AL ACV. ME IMPORTA Y ME OCUPO
