World Stroke Day 2016

Face the Facts: Stroke is Treatable

We thank you for your support to make World Stroke Day - October 29th 2016 - another highpoint in the campaign to reduce the global burden of stroke.

World Stroke Day 2016 recognizes that although stroke is a complex medical issue, there are ways to significantly reduce its impact. This year's campaign is "Stroke is Treatable". To learn more about our campaign got to our Face the Facts: Stroke is Treatable information page.

We are calling everyone – individuals, families, communities, health professionals and governments – to join the fight against stroke.

To share your event please register on our World Stroke Day 2016 "Events Registration Form". We will be publishing events and posteing them on our interactive map to show how countries and communities around the world are using World Stroke Day to take action, drive awareness and push for better access to stroke treatments.

If you want to be part of a local event for 2016, or to organize something in your community please return to submit your event or contact your local WSO member stroke organization - ask them how you can help.

You can also visit our Campaign Resources section to access materials that will help with your World Stroke Day Campaign communication.

If you have any questions, please write to us at campaigns@world-stroke.org. And, of course, please let us know how else we can help to make your event(s) a success.
