To celebrate the World Stroke Day 2009 A.L.I.Ce Italia Onlus organised the following activities:
- A nationwide stroke awareness campaign in newspapers and on TV that is also announcing the World Stroke Day 2009; a free video showing stroke warning signs and what should be done in case of stroke.
The images used in the video were designed by vauro and produced in collaboration with RAI personnel.

The TV spot is running on local and national TVs as well as on starchannel (a TV closed circuit running in almost 700 Italian pharmacies).
- On October 29th A.L.I.Ce local associations will start a nationwide investigation on the economic and social costs of stroke families and care-givers. The investigation is conducted in collaboration with CENSIS - http://www.censis.it/ - and the Study University of Florence.
- A.L.I.Ce Italia Onlus also strongly supported the organization of activities at a local level throughout the country. Click here for the report of the local activities.
